Best Day Of The Year For Salsa
STAFF PICK: Tucson's calendar is packed with odd little fiestas, one of our favorites being the Tucson Jazz Society's annual late-August fundraiser, Some Like It Hot, which features both a salsa cook-off by local individual and commercial chefs; and salsa dancing courtesy of the Tucson Latin Jazz Orchestra. The entrants do themselves proud, offering a range of salsa concoctions that runs from mild to fiercely hot. Couple this with the Tucson Botanical Garden's Fiesta de los Chiles later in the fall, and Tucson emerges as a salsa-lover's paradise without equal.
