READERS' PICK: Maybe it's a case of associative pleasures. Maybe it's the reason we in Tucson generally associate Mexico with beaches, tacos, seafood and tequila. Probably has a lot to do with that little bit of heaven called Puerto Peñasco, where parched desert rats can go for a weekend of refreshing and refreshments. But for those needing a quick shot of that beach-sand-in-your-shoes feeling, that easy ambiance found in the land of mañana without the four-hour drive, one need go no further than one of the seven Chuy's in the old Pueblo. Start the experience with one of their famous margaritas and you will be instantly transported southward. Lime, orange liquor, tequila, ice and salt: Pretty simple ingredients all poured with panache. There really is some magic at work when the bartenders at Chuy's start mixing. Let that magic linger over your tongue while you contemplate their menu and enjoy the smell of the grill. Order a few fish tacos. Relax. The pleasures of Mexico are as close as a taste of the lovely margarita.
