STAFF PICK: Daniel's Restaurant has refocused its menu after management changes earlier this year. Chef owner-manager Jeff Fuld and chef Michael Veres have fine-tuned Daniel's Italian specialties, making each one a clear representative of the Italian repertoire while maintaining the fresh and creative use of basic elements. The menu now changes frequently to take advantage of the best seasonal ingredients available. Seafood is done particularly well. A special of black mussels in a spicy marinara over spaghetti gets high accolade. Service is relaxed and efficient, the rooms have been lightened, and there is a new breath of casual elegance in the rooms.
