Best Emerging Young Pianist
STAFF PICK: We pronounce a tie. Chang Liu, all of 12 years old, plays Mozart like a Perahia or an Uchida already! This young man is already a world-class pianist and will be someone to watch. Besides the Mozart No. 22, he's also peformed the Grieg and Beethoven's Third locally. Eight-year-old Sarah Wu is absolutely delightful and has as much potential. She knocked out a Haydn concerto this season wth the Catalina Chamber Orchestra. We expect even bigger things from her as soon as her legs grow long enough to reach the pedals.
