MIKEY STRIKES AGAIN, so once more we deviate from our deposition format to give you the latest:
The chairman of the Pima County Board of Supervisors is Paul Marsh. The vice chair is Ed Moore and the acting chair is Mike Boyd. The Supes had prepared a proclamation thanking all the firefighters and support groups who participated in the recent fire at Old Tucson. Dated May 9, 1995, the proclamation was set to be passed and handed out to those groups on that morning.
On Friday, May 5, Chairman Marsh was out of the building, and that's when the acting chairman, well, acted. Mikey had all the proclamations reprinted, removed Marsh's name, and signed them MIKE BOYD, CHAIRMAN. Note that he didn't even use his real title, acting chairman.
On Monday, May 8, Marsh's staff caught this hokey move and replaced the Boyd-signed proclamations with ones signed by Marsh.
It's hard to believe that any politician can be this desperate for attention. Mikey continues to prove how much he's earned the title we've bestowed upon him.
