Rude And Confused

This week we present a quick doubleheader. Under the questioning of attorney Bill Hanson, Pima County Supervisor Mike Boyd evaluates the food at the home of fellow Supervisor Ed Moore:

Q: Was Ed's family there?

BOYD: Maddie came late.

Q: That's his wife?

BOYD: Right.

Q: Was there any refreshment served--food, beverage?

BOYD: There may have been. But I don't--very possibly at the end of that first meeting, there might have been some type of chow mein type dinner or something. It was just like leftovers.

Bet you won't be dining at Ed's again any time soon, Mikey.

Next, Boyd reveals that even he can't understand what he's saying:

Q: Do you remember saying that to Mr. Scott? (KTUC Talk show host John C. Scott.)

BOYD: Now that I hear it on the tape, I'm sure that's what I said on the tape.

Q: You said to Mr. Scott, "However, after Mr. Vyas made his--he had some discussions about it." Do you agree that that's what you said to Mr. Scott in that segment of the tape?

BOYD: I don't understand what the sentence means. I may have said it, but I don't get it. I don't understand it. It's not a complete sentence.

And all along we thought it was just crappy reporting.

NEXT WEEK:

Mikey Morphin'!
