[Cheap Thrills]

HONEYBEE DEVELOPERS: Rancho Vistoso Partners plead their development case for the east side of Honey Bee Canyon at 7 p.m. , Wednesday, March 22, at the Oro Valley Town Hall, 11,000 N. LaCañada Drive. Help the Oro Valley Neighborhood Coalition pack the hall--Nancy Young Wright says the developers have already been told by the town's planning director their plan doesn't meet code, but they're back. Show support for proper management of a Class One Riparian Habitat that is home to mule deer, bobcats and javelina and more native bird species than you can name. Call 742-7283 for more information.

BOOKS AVAILABLE: The Friends of the Tucson-Pima Library have unsold books left from their successful sale. Books are available for donation to charities and non-profits and can be picked up Tuesday mornings or by appointment at the Friends' warehouse, 22nd Street and Craycroft Road (next to ABCO). Call 798-8887 and leave a message for Betty Hillman for more information. If you have books to donate for next year's sale, take them to any library branch in a bag marked "Friends' Sale."

TUSD TUESDAY: Get involved with the state's largest school district; it's your kids and your bucks. The TUSD board meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, at the Morrow Education Center, 1010 E. Tenth St. Call 882-2403 for more information.

TAX ATTACK: If you are in the low to moderate tax bracket and can't make sense of any IRS forms this year, here's some free help. AARP volunteers say bring your current tax records and a copy of last year's income tax return to the Eastside City Hall, 7575 E. Speedway between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Call 881-1794 for other free tax assistance locations.
