Warhol’s Beauties Leaving Soon

Andy Warhol's very name conjures up pop-art soup cans and beautiful mod girls smoking cigarettes at the Factory. Any piece of art we look at only tells a part of the process involved in its creation. The Warhol Photographic Legacy Program has gifted the UA's Museum of Art, 1031 N. Olive Road, an interesting part of Warhol's creations. "Beauties—The Photography of Andy Warhol" displays a selection of his Polaroid photos he used to make screen prints and document his surroundings. The exhibit will be leaving the museum Sunday, June 14. Admission is $5 and free to museum members, students with their ID, faculty, military and children. The exhibit is open Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and weekends noon to 4 p.m. For more information visit artmuseum.arizona.edu.
