The Matrix Reloaded

Some bad special effects, a weak plot and terrible acting taint the follow-up to the Wachowski Brothers smash original. Keanu Reeves returns as Neo, the Jesus Christ of the computer world, where a last bastion of human survivors looks to overthrow the machines and save freewill. Reeves is still good as Neo, but Laurence Fishbourne spoils things as a ham-fisted, bellowing Morpheus. Considering the good amount of time they had to make this one, the computer effects are sloppy. A fight where an army of Agent Smiths battle Neo in a park is straight out of your Playstation 2. The ending is an abrupt, choppy set-up for The Matrix Revolutions to be released later this year.
