Take a Hike

Any true Tucsonan could probably tell you that 2015 has been a mild summer, so far. The savvy desert dweller could probably also say, it won't last. Don't sweat over participating this National Trails Day, Saturday, June 6. The Town of Oro Valley Parks and Recreation Department have chosen to celebrate the American Hiking Society's nationwide celebration of hiking trails during the cool hours of 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The hike of the Loop Trail at Catalina State Park, 11570 N Oracle Road, is free to all ages. The only things you need to bring are a good pair of walking shoes, a flashlight and plenty of water. For more information or to purchase an official T-shirt visit nationaltrailsday.org.
