Shaun of the Dead

The best zombedy (zombie-comedy) ever made, Shaun is basically a re-write of the original Night of the Living Dead, only with fewer trees and more English people. Simon Pegg stars as Shaun, a man who lives a parody of life that is, in many respects, more like the unconscious existence of the undead. In a moment of what literary types like to call "irony," Shaun comes to life when he’s faced with actual undead people who want to eat his flesh and keep him away from his girlfriend. With a cricket bat and an attitude that says "terribly sorry, but I’ll need to be re-killing you now," Shaun fights his way through the hordes of zombies in the name of love and a frosty pint of lager. It’s all very entertaining and occasionally quite funny. And you get to see English people eating each other’s flesh!
