This one picks up where Casino Royale left off. Daniel Craig’s Bond is bent on vengeance for the death of Vesper Lynd (Eva Green), and despite orders from M (Judi Dench) to chill out, he’s going on a killing spree. Director Marc Forster (Finding Neverland), like Martin Campbell did with Royale, is shooting for something a little more realistic with this Bond. Forster is pretty good with an action sequence, and Craig makes for a decent action hero. This Bond is much different from those played by Sean Connery and Roger Moore; he’s far more angry and violent. Still, some of Bond’s past charms remain evident, and I imagine Bond will become a little more sophisticated and reserved as Craig starts to age. Or they’ll just replace him.
