People Power

Those wondering people from Living Street Alliance return with Whimsical Bike Ride #3. Get those skirts, dresses, tutus and kilts out folks. It's time to ride with a breeze between our legs on Thursday, June 25, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Meet up at Fourth Avenue and University Boulevard. The national advocacy organization People for Bikes is on a quest to determine the "everyday biking" capital of the U.S. through a series of monthly bike counts. This competition between 10 cities is all about "fun" and "whimsy" unlike "serious" and "scientific" initiatives to count bikes. So be part of Tucson's count. The remaining themes: July lycra, August kids riding, September people riding in business attire, October people riding in Halloween costumes and November people riding who have beards.
