How many total albums do you own (CDs, vinyl, cassettes, 8-tracks)?
About 150 albums (I recently sold a bunch on eBay), and about 500 CDs, and maybe 100 cassettes.
Do you download music, and if so, legally or illegally?
Yes! Legally, of course; iTunes is awesome. I have about 35 gigs on my laptop.
What was the first album you owned?
It was an 8-track, actually: The Carpenters, Greatest Hits!
What song would you like to have played at your funeral?
Definitely have to go old school on this one: "Amazing Grace" played by a lone bagpiper.
Musically speaking, what do you love that your friends don't know about? What's your favorite guilty pleasure?
Threefold answer: I love Mexican music like salsa, norteño, merengue. Also, I love gospel music of all kinds, and, of course, Dwight Yoakam!
What band or artist changed your life, and how?
I would have to go with Black Flag. They put out so many great albums, and they really turned me on to what punk rock/hardcore really was.
Figurative gun to your head, what is your favorite album of all time?
Another tough one, but I gotta go with Minutemen, Double Nickels on the Dime. A timeless classic that never gets old.
