This time of year, everyone tends to get all reflective as they look at the year gone by, and we're no exception this week. Jim Nintzel and Leo W. Banks get their dubious year-in-review groove on, and our music writers tell us their faves in part one of a two-week series. Dave Devine updates some of his 2005 stories.
If you'd rather look ahead than glance back, I strongly encourage you to peruse our New Year's Guide. You have my personal guarantee that you will not find a more comprehensive guide to area New Year's goings-on anywhere, period.
Not that you asked ... but I personally have very mixed feelings regarding 2005. There were lots of highs for me this year, but the lows--including the way-too-soon deaths of two beloved Weekly colleagues, Susan Sykes and Chris Limberis--edge out the highs. I won't be sorry to see the calendar roll over.
And as for the Weekly ... well, I'll let you be the judge of that. If readership, Web visits, reader feedback and awards are any indication, we had a banner year. Thanks for being a part of it, dear reader.
