Reactions to Tom Horne's suckiness and Tom Danehy'

Oct 31, 2013 4:00 AM

THIS GUY SENDS LETTERS IN ALL THE TIME, SO WE MIGHT AS WELL RUN ONE (AS IS)

I am not scared of all the witches, zombies, and assorted goblins wandering about on Halloween. What really scares me is the meat industry.

This is the industry that:

Mutilates, cages, and butchers billions of cows, pigs and other sentient animals Feeds carcasses of cats and dogs killed in pounds to chickens Exposes undocumented workers to chronic workplace injuries at slave wages Exploits farmers and ranchers by dictating wholesale market prices Punishes documentation of its abuses through unconstitutional "ag-gag" laws Promotes world hunger by feeding nutritious corn and soybeans to animals Generates more greenhouse gases than any other human activity Generates more water pollution than any other human activity Creates a permanent "dead zone" in the Gulf of Mexico that dwarfs the BP oil spill Creates deadly antibiotic-resistant pathogens by feeding antibiotics to animals Creates epidemics of Salmonella, Listeria, and other infectious diseases Promotes mortality from diabetes, heart failure, stroke, cancer, and other diseases

Now, that's really scary. And this is why I am dropping animal products from my menu.

THE PUBLIC AGREES; TOM HORNE SUCKS

Your editorial (Editor's Note, Oct. 24) left out the fact of Horne's misusing his influence to get the corrupt State Bar of Arizona to drop two disciplinary investigations, which were opened in the wake of his caught-in-a-hit-and-run-with-mistress-in-car incident.  However, as to the rest of what your editorial states, all I could do in response was nod my head and think, 'Amen, brother.'

Horne doesn't just look like a pig.

Loved the title and the article. I share the concern and would like to know if there is anything going on to get rid of him. If so, I would be grateful if you would let me know. I am completely flummoxed that he can be the Attorney General and such a crook. I, as a lowly state employee, would be fired by the Jan Brewer cronies for things 10 times less serious for being some sort of scourge on the state. I am older and not so much bowled over by Arizona politics, but I am offended by this guy. I was so happy to see your article.

THIS WEEK'S DANEHY BACKLASH

My one and only complaint with your side of the political fence (Danehy, Oct. 24) is this: So you bitch well, OK, what's your plan? As Pete Hamill once wrote, "drunk with words, you trash people without thinking." (I have his letter.) So, now that you're all grown up, what's YOUR position, your argument for a better mousetrap? Otherwise, your continued vitriol becomes boring.

I could spend hours ripping a column that sucks even by Pulitzer Tommy's standards. Our government spent 600 million on a system to help people enroll in Obummer care and the damn thing doesn't work. So, what is Tommy all upset about? Grammar in a Burger King ad!! Let me say this. You Obummercare fans, be careful what you wish for. And Tommy, are you signed up yet?
