Letters to the Editor

Meet Zana, Our New Favorite Reader

I find the paper much improved under your editorship—more locally focused, more in-depth reporting. You have hired some fine writers. The "Editor's Note" is now worth reading, and I thank you for bringing back "Dust Devils" and encouraging reader responses so we can be more fully engaged. As for "New of the Weird," I enjoy that monthly in Funny Times (P.O. Box 18530, Cleveland, OH 44118, (216) 371-8600, www.funnytimes.com), which I recommend to those who like their news leavened with laughter.

Hacking on Political Hacks

No Mr. Nintzel, all Dupnik did was stoop to pissing on the Bill of Rights, specifically the First and Second Amendments of the U.S. Constitution. Sheriffs and cops who are not committed to upholding our rights under the constitution. We do not need. It is my desire that Mr. Dupnik not let the door hit him in the ass on the way out.

You may be satisfied with elected persons who have less than full regard for our civil rights contained in the Bill of Rights. I am not. Furthermore, criticizing the sheriff of another county does not change the fact, and the fact is that Mr. Dupnik has always been less a sheriff that a political hack. He demonstrated as much following the attack against Ms. Giffords and others. You are entitled to your opinion, but not to your own facts.
