Firecracker
Acting out of a high school production of Oklahoma!, a weirdness reminiscent of Forbidden Zone, elements of In Cold Blood, color fantasy sequences that seems like a perverted version of Carousel, and a murder mystery. Hmm. Sounds like indie filmmaking! I can’t say I enjoyed Firecracker, but I was impressed by its inventiveness, so maybe it’s just that my meds need adjusting. If you want to see something very different, but made of things that are the same, you could do much worse than checking this one out.
