It would seem like not much has changed in Tucson's oldest bar since it opened almost 80 years ago. The walls are tagged from floor to ceiling and the furniture is chipped and worn, which is also a worthy description of the Buff's regular clientele. But the people are friendly, the jukebox is among the best in town, and the beer is cold starting at 6 a.m. most days. Get a cheap drink during happy minute and, since no bar hopping experience is complete without extreme recklessness, don't miss the house birthday special—a generous you-call-it shot and a 16 ounce Coors draft for a penny. We suggest passing on the hot dogs, though, if you intend to keep all that liquor down.
