If you're wondering how the worlds of prog rock, Bjork-esque vocals and Dandy Warhols attitude could meld into one thing, wonder no longer and dive head first into the Austin rock group Megafauna. Touring based off of their 2014 release Maximalist, you can catch the three-person outfit at The Flycatcher (340 E. Sixth St.) on Monday, Sept. 14.
However, that's just one reason to catch this show, which you'll want to arrive promptly at 9 p.m. to catch all the goods. Fellow tour mates Moon Honey combines some Tiny Tim like oddity in with a mixture of Arabic melody, jaunty organ and straight up rock 'n' roll. If that weren't enough, locals Gamma Like Very Ultra and Macho B will round out the bill, promising a full evening of one-of-a-kind jams. Best of all, the show is free, so just go already.
