I bet you're wishing right about now that, instead of sweating in the 100-plus-degree temps hitting Tucson, that you were off in Hawaii. While I can't help you get out of town and off on an island, you can have a mini-mental vacation by heading to the Rialto Theatre on Wednesday, June 10. There, Samoan songwriter J Boog will be performing a set of his reggae-inspired tunes to help take you away. Joined by Honolulu-based DJ and producer Westafa, as well as Hot Rain (also of Hawaii), the night will feature plenty of jams to help you chill out, even if you can't actually get away.
You can catch all three acts at the venue, located at 318 E. Congress St., beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets are available online in advance at www.rialtotheatre.com for $17, along with more information. It is an all ages show.
