Someone used an explosive device to blow up a toilet at a horse stable, according to a PCSD report.
A deputy responded to a criminal-damage call at a large stable bordering the Tanque Verde Wash. The stable's trainer said most of the toilet in an empty one-bedroom shack on the property was melted. She said there were scorch marks above the toilet and black residue throughout the bathroom area.
The trainer speculated that the damage might have been caused by an M-80 firecracker. Nobody at the stable could come up with a suspect or a motive for the destruction.

Two men waiting to be seen at a hospital apparently weren't ailing badly enough to keep them from fighting outside the emergency room, a Pima County Sheriff's Department report said.
Deputies were called to Northwest Medical Center, 6200 N. La Cholla Blvd., about a fight in the small smoking area outside the ER lobby. The man who allegedly instigated the fisticuffs said he had come to the hospital because he was detoxing from heroin and wanted to do it in a medical setting. While waiting for treatment, he said, he went outside for a smoke and saw a man and woman arguing. When the man pushed the woman, he said, he started to intervene but the man then pushed him, too.
The hospital had a video of the incident, but it was too dark to see details, so one deputy interviewed the man who had been arguing with his wife while another deputy put the detoxing man in his heated patrol car.
The man who had been arguing with his wife said they'd been "speaking like sailors"—using a lot of profanity—when the detoxing man approached them.
He said the detoxing man then punched him, and he also maintained that he never pushed the man. The wife backed up his story.
After one of the deputies learned that the detoxing man had three warrants outstanding for his arrest (and was now suspected of assault as well) he was taken to jail.
