Watch Out for Possible Firestarter on UA Campus

Fire Investigation

Since October 20th, 2012, The University of Arizona Police Department has responded to four separate fires that have occurred at the Pueblo De La Cienega Residence Hall, located at 621 N. Highland Avenue. UAPD detectives are actively investigating these incidents and urge anyone with information regarding these fires to call 9-1-1. Information may be reported anonymously by calling 88-CRIME or The University of Arizona Police Department Tip-Line at 520-626-0066.

The University of Arizona Police Department would like to take this opportunity to remind the community of the following safety tips.

1. During a fire alarm, immediately evacuate the building and follow the directions of first responders.

2. Report damaged, faulty, or inoperable smoke detectors or fire suppression equipment to University of Arizona Fire Safety at (520) 621-3000.

3. Be aware of your surroundings and immediately report suspicious people, objects, or activity.
