There are details beginning to emerge about a new Tucson restaurant called Urban Belly. The place doesn't have a location yet, but the chefs and other people backing the place are beginning work on what they will be serving, describing it in an e-mail like this:
Our cuisine can be called nostalgic, elevated, comfort food. Basically we take simple dishes like mac n cheese and pb&j, deconstruct them, add more modern technique to them and present in a classy way. Its a fun approachable way to eat.
The owners are looking for a location near or in the downtown area. We'll be back with more when we learn more.
