FC Tucson, the team that made its debut as the opening act for the MLS teams at the Desert Cup, have matches Friday and Saturday as part of the semi-pro Men's Super Soccer League at Murphy Field. While I haven't personally seen FC Tucson since their Desert Cup matches, I was shocked by the skill level on the pitch. These guys are legitimately fun to watch, and now that they have a few matches under their belt, they should provide a good amount of sports value for your $8. Kickoff for each match (against Municipio Juarez tonight; Arizona Sahuaros on Saturday) is at 8 pm at Murphy Field, 2300 E. 15th St. More information at
