American rapper, Jake Miller released his new EP, “The Road Less Traveled" today.
In my humble opinion, I think it’s pretty damn good. He sounds like a more mature Justin Bieber, with much better lyrics, similar catchy beats, and significantly less auto-tune (sorry Beliebers).
Miller, a student at the University of Miami who grew up in Weston, Fla., taught himself to play the drums and guitar at a young age, according to his website. His first live performance was in March 2011, where he opened for Snoop Dogg in Pompano Beach, Florida. He also has played alongside other notable artists, such as Mac Miller, Flo Rida, Sean Kingston, and Asher Roth.
In May 2011, Miller won $35,000 to use for his music career after he received the Samsung & T-Mobile national “Kick it with the Band” competition. The competition was used a way to highlight upcoming musicians across the country.
Miller is also currently competing in the Macy’s iHeartRadio Rising Star talent search. The winner will get to perform at the 2013 iHeartRadio Music Festival at MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Miller is fourth in the competition so far out of 25 bands and musicians.
His new EP that was released earlier this weekhas already reached top chart status on iTunes. It reached the number one spot for top albums in the hip hop/rap category shortly after its release.
I'm so so thankful for each and everyone of you who have bought my new EP and helped to get it to #1 itunes.apple.com/us/album/the-r…
