Local craft beer is a pretty great thing, but 200 craft beers is really something else and you’ll find just that at the first Baja Beer Festival. The completely locally organized event will feature more than 50 breweries, showing off their creative brews alongside food vendors and live music.

This beer fest is about more than just drinking beer, though, as collaborative teams of Tucson firefighters and brewers will present their creations to a panel of judges to see who can come up with the best beer. All proceeds from the event will also go to Northwest Firefighters Charities and the Arizona Craft Brewers Guild.

All of that Baja Beer Fest fun will take place on Saturday, April 23 at Rillito Race Track Park (4502 N. First Ave.) from 4 until 9 p.m. Tickets ($40 for general admission) and more information can be found on the Baja Beer Fest website.
