It appears someone thought it was a great idea to vandalize a Tucson historical landmark, The Fox Theatre. A few photos were posted on the Facebook page Weird Stuff You’ll Only See In/Near Tucson late last night and this morning. 

Now, this isn’t weird, it’s just an asshole move. If you recognize the tag from other places in town, the folks in the group ask that you come forward and call 88-CRIME with information that could lead to knowing who did this. 

A report was already filed with the Tucson Police Department.

  3. What’s with the shitty actions towards local non profits? If I remember correctly, wasn’t Tu Nidito recently vandalized? And a local firehouse?? This isn’t what ‘keep Tucson shitty’ means to me. This is not OK Tucson!

  14. It looks like one says “Deeze” and the other “Poise”? Either way, this is some ignorant, little kid attention seeking garbage. Its blotchy, dippy and awful letter forms. All this person did was garner negative attention for all graffiti writers, so way go guy.

  16. Hopefully this brings attention to the city wide graffiti epidemic that is occurring this year. I have called in more reports than I care to admit, at least 50 this year alone. I even had to wipe down my neighborhoods fire hydrants from tagging this year. Street signs, high up on telephone and electric poles – it is out of control.

    This coupled with the current state of our roads is making Tucson look like Nogales or Albuquerque – that is not company I wish to keep.

  19. Its sooo easy to find these graffiti morons. Their egos and stupidity cause they will boast photos. Start with facebook . They all are retarded and actually post their job as graffiti. Next start with known crews. TSK. they all know each other and have pictures and posts of their stuff . Their friends list will consist of all the taggers and their names true or not and crimes. Their are pictures of them doing drugs and everything.

  20. Ok, something I’ve noticed a lot of you don’t have straight. There is a difference between tagging, and art. This, is tagging. No artistic aspect to it. Graffiti, is art, this however isn’t art. This is just defacing your city instead of making it better. There is a point however, brought up by Ghost Buster and I quote “They all are retarded and actually post their job as graffiti. Next start with known crews. Their are pictures of them doing drugs and everything.”. This is not always true. TSK, isn’t a crew, as all his tags stay consistant with style and hand writing. Second, not all taggers know each other. It is true that some do, and yes, I will agree that most taggers are morons, but most of them aren’t stupid enough to brag about spraying something up online. And even if they do, they’re at least going to be smart enough not to have pictures of their faces, much less of them doing drugs. One last thing about this, the drugs aspect. Not all taggers/artists do drugs. It is true that a fair few of them do, but they are a minority in terms of the community of artists and taggers. It is incidents like these, and people who aren’t educated on the community, like Ghost Buster, that give the real artists a bad name.

  21. June 20th, 2015 Xpanded Universe is going to host a graffiti event. Mark my words there will be tagging and pieces thrown up from this event all over downtown. Who of all places is advertising it? Tucson Weekly of course.
