The obsessive folks at the Welcome to Twin Peaks fansite noticed something on Twitter today: both of the creators of cult-favorite TV show Twin Peaks posted the same tweet, seemingly hinting at a rebirth for the show:
Dear Twitter Friends: That gum you like is going to come back in style! #damngoodcoffee

Their possibly-jumping-to-conclusions analysis:
We just had The Entire Mystery Blu-ray release, so that’s not what they’re tweeting about. Now with David Lynch recently hinting at a return to Twin Peaks (“Just wait and see!” ), could a revival finally be fact instead of rumor? Are we going to see a third season (on Netflix perhaps?) or will there be a sequel (or another prequel) to the Twin Peaks movie?
With Netflix seemingly throwing money at any creative idea they can turn into a stream, a new Twin Peaks product for them almost makes sense. I'll believe it when I see it, but for the rest of the day at least, I'll be occasionally squealing about the idea of my favorite weirdo-mystery show returning.
In the meantime, revisit Bob Grimm's review of The Entire Mystery Blu-ray set.
