We tend to cover Kickstarter and other crowdsourcing sites a lot around here, and justifiably so considering the awesome things people tend to do with them (beer! art! film!)...but here's a particular crowdfunding site I honestly didn't expect to ever exist, for some reason: Offbeatr [NSFW, obviously], the crowdfunding site for pornographers seeking startup capital.

Yeah, with projects like "Dildology," a database for dildos, and "Super Fuck Friends" (with pitch video!), there is no way that you can go wrong idly browsing this.

Unless your kids are around. Or you happen to be sitting in a crowded coffee. Or you happen to be at work (unless you happen to have an incredibly cool boss, or something).

As of yet, there doesn't appear to be a way to search by location (as with other crowdfunding sites) so I can't tell you if you've got some neighbors who are looking to make it big in the porn world. But if/when that function is added (and I'm sure we've got some folks around here who are willing to check daily and let me know), we'll let you know.
