The statement we’ve been waiting for to be attributed to U.S. Customs and Border Protection on yesterday’s arrest of Raul Alcaraz Ochoa:
On Feb. 17, Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents responded to a request for assistance by the Tucson Police Department. At the scene, a Mexican male, who is a Lawfully Admitted Permanent Resident, impeded law enforcement by lying beneath a Border Patrol vehicle after agents took several subjects into custody for being illegally present in the United States. The man was subsequently arrested by Border Patrol agents after failing to respond to repeated warnings and refusing to move from beneath the vehicle.
He has been released from Border Patrol custody.
The Tucson Police Department has yet to comment to the Range on yesterday’s call and incident.

“The Tucson Police Department has yet to comment to the Range on yesterday’s call and incident.” (Posted by Mari Herreras on Mon, Feb 18, 2013 at 5:00 PM)
Nothing at the rather juvenile TPD Facebook page either, no surprise, FWIW.
Perhaps the chief or, more likely, some whack tired assistant chief will soon offer to meet you for a coffee or a green tea, Mari Herreras…
In regards to the arrest of Alcaráz Ochoa who is an alien with green card status. He is not a citizen and because of this arrest he will not be eligible for citizenship. There for his eligibility to work in this country should be revoked and he should be deported at once.
Update–as of this date and time nothing from TPD in its media releases, nothing at its Facebook page relating to the incident.
Red Star has 14 “dislikes” (thumbs down) at “Posted by Red Star on 02/18/2013 at 7:13 PM” above and no germane comments. Hope this is a record! Is it?
Perhaps a contest idea, you know, who can get the most dislikes, David Mendez?
