Tomorrow, there's something cool happening and yeah...it's free.
Author Daniel Alarcón, poet Sherwin Bitsui, playwright James Garcia, novelist Jessica Hagedorn, San Francisco poetry-slam champion James Kass, spoken-word poet Logan Phillips and nonfiction writer Rinku Sen are among readers at the CultureStrike Arts Festival.Art and writing workshops take place at several locations throughout the day at times to be announced (check the website for up to date times). All are free.
They include woodblock and screen printing at the Toole Shed, youth slam poetry taught by Logan Phillips and James Kass at the South Tucson Library, writing at The Drawing Studio and social media for artists by Favianna Rodriguez. Did we mention that everything is free?
