Arizona Democratic Party chairman Andrei Cherny tweeted a not-so-subtle jab yesterday at the Arizona Family Project's "Friend of the Family" awards for including Scott Bundgaard, who reportedly physically fought with his girlfriend on the side of a Phoenix highway in February. He is set to be tried Monday on domestic violence charges.
The organization claims the awards recognize "State Legislators who have demonstrated, through their voting record and personal action, a strong commitment to strengthening Arizona's families and to promoting pro-family values and ideals." Conspicuously missing from the list: any Democratic congresspeople.
